Spatiotemporal-Chaotic Sequences for Asynchronous DS-UWB Communication System

چکیده
In previous works, the performance of DS-UWB (Direct SequenceUltra Wide Band) systems in a multiuser scenario with binary pulse amplitude modulation has been studied. In most of these works, tradional spread spectrum sequences such as independent identically distributed (i.i.d) random sequences and Gold sequences have been considered. Since these sequences are limited in term of correlation properties several researchers were interested in using chaotic sequences generated by non linear systems. In this paper, we propose to use spatiotemporal chaotic codes in asynchronous DS-UWB systems and investigate an analysis of Multi-User Interference (MUI) term for this family and the two classical i.i.d and Gold families. Then, the Bit Error Rate (BER) is computed to evaluate the performance of conventional receiver in both cases AWGN and multipath channel to confirm the results found about MUI.

The residential environments are an important scenario for Ultra Wide Band (UWB) communication systems. In this paper, the performance of correlating receivers operating in a Line-Of-Sight (LOS) scenario in these environments is evaluated. In such channel the interference between users is an additional source of noise, that may deteriorate the performance of the system. In this research axis; i...
متن کاملNonlinear Multiuser Receiver for Optimized Chaos-Based DS-CDMA Systems
Chaos based communications have drawn increasing attention over the past years. Chaotic signals are derived from non-linear dynamic systems. They are aperiodic, broadband and deterministic signals that appear random in the time domain. Because of these properties, chaotic signals have been proposed to generate spreading sequences for wide-band secure communication recently. Like conventional DS...
متن کاملChaotic Spreading Sequences with Multiple Access Performance Better Than Random Sequences
The letter presents a theoretical analysis on a performance index for chaotic spreading sequences, which characterizes the multiple access interference introduced by crosscorrelation of a sequence set in asynchronous DS/CDMA systems. Using the ergodic theory, is expressed in terms of ensemble-averaged autocorrelation functions and simple explicit formulae for are obtained, under the assumption ...
متن کاملChaotic Complex Spreading Sequences for Asynchronous DS-CDMA—Part I: System Modeling and Results
This paper and its companion are devoted to the evaluation of the impact of chaos-based techniques on communications systems with asynchronous code division multiple access. Sequences obtained by repeating a truncated and quantized chaotic time series are compared with classical -sequences and Gold sequences by means of a performance index taken from communication theory which is here defined a...
متن کاملMultilevel Chaos-based Ds-cdma System with Improved Performance
This paper investigates the chaos-based asynchronous direct sequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) system performance optimization in accordance with spreading sequences set. The multiple access interference (MAI) power is estimated for conventional matched-filter receiver scheme, under the standard gaussian approximation (SGA) hypothesis, and minimized with respect to the auto-correl...
